Silo sealed in silver aluminium barrier foil and wrapped in stretch film, on a wooden pallet in a hall, next to a ladder and OSB board crates
Silo in barrier foil One of the silos shipped by sea to the USA, already sealed in aluminium barrier foil and wrapped in stretch film. It then went into a crate.
Two modules wrapped in white shrink wrap film standing opposite each other in a yard, a person walking between them
Modules ready for shipping The person between them gives a sense of scale. Film heat-shrunk on site, before loading.
Packed module lifted by a crane, seen from below against the sky
Crane transfer The cover withstands lifting and lashing without losing its seal. The same object travels on without repacking.
Yacht wrapped in white shrink wrap film, lifted by a crane above a trailer
Yacht before loading Yacht packed in film, ready to be loaded onto a transport trailer.
Dividing a hall with a film wall A hall can be divided with shrink wrap film into smaller zones, e.g. 1,000 m² into four sections of 250 m². The film stops odours passing through, so tyres and food, for example, can be stored side by side. Installed from a lift, without altering the hall structure.
Steel silo on a frame, secured with orange straps, silver barrier foil spread out beneath it, two workers preparing the packing in a hall
Silos for a sea voyage to the USA The manufacturer's silos were shipped to the USA, and the sea freight took about 1.5–2 months. Desiccants, corrosion inhibitors and VCI sheets went under the aluminium barrier foil. Everything was wrapped in stretch film, strapped to the pallet and closed in a crate.
Worker in a vest heat-shrinking white film with a heat gun on a sauna standing on bearers in a hall
Sauna for transport to Germany The sauna's exterior had been treated with a special oil at the client's request, so it had to stay clean on the way. The tight-fitting film protected it on a low-loader trailer from slush, rain and dirt.
Large machine being wrapped in white shrink wrap film in a production hall, a ladder beside it, an overhead crane in the background
Six machines in one day The machines with heat exchangers were travelling to the other end of Europe and had delicate electronics inside. We packed six large machines in a single day.
Long frame wrapped in white shrink wrap film in a hall, a worker on a ladder at its top edge
Bus frame on its way to painting The frame of a modern bus was going for powder coating and then back to the manufacturer. It had to reach the paint shop clean and protected, so we sealed it in shrink wrap film for transport.
Small house packed in white film, lifted by a mobile crane in a yard, two people standing nearby
House with a finished facade, up to 14 m long The house was up to 14 m long and over 4 m wide, with a finished facade. The film protected it from dirt on the way.
Scaffolding by a building enclosed in white shrink wrap film, a steel power pylon beside it, a car in the foreground
Scaffolding at a high-voltage grid Scaffolding on a building site in Germany, enclosed in shrink wrap film. Under the cover, high-voltage grid connection work was carried out for a company that builds wind farms in the North Sea.
Holiday home heading to southern Europe Holiday home packed for transport to southern Europe, a journey of more than 1,500 km. Shrink wrap film protects it for the whole journey.
